As we hit the one-year anniversary of the trip and leave Canada (to return in a week's time) we have almost finished with the "please can you stamp on a used page" routine to all immigration officials we encounter. After some unnecessarily flamboyant stamping in the Pacific islands at the turn of the year we thought we might run out of space in our first passports, hence the requests to officialdom. Cuba issues tourist cards, which are stamped and collected on departure, and we have only one more entry stamp to go - back into Toronto. At the moment I have seven pages left in the 48-page version of the passport and Sarah has six.
And it has proved an interesting game to see just how many stamps we can accumulate on a single page.

How many years have those 7 and 6 pages got to last?
Another 8 years of validity to run that won't keep us in South African travel!
