For our last night in western Canada we went for a typically Canadian meal in a restaurant that reflects Canada's enthusiasm for immigration. Barb and Ernie set up their resto here 40 years ago, having left Germany penniless. The German beerhall interior belies the truckstop exterior, but the fare was stoutly German with lots of meat.
